About Our Mission
For more than 30 years, Mid America Coach has provided unparalleled sales and service in the small and mid-sized shuttle bus markets, as well as provided mobility solutions by way of personal handicapped accessible vans for those in a wheelchair. Our mission is to improve the quality of life and economic well being of our stakeholders. We do this through our integrity, teamwork and dedication, with an inventory of new and used shuttle buses, personal mobility minivans and wheelchair accessible conversion kits for all types of vehicles. We also offer support once you've bought a vehicle. To this day, Mid America Coach operates the only dedicated shuttle bus service center in the Kansas City area. We have all the parts, accessories and experience you could ever need.
Peter Beren, President
Coming from a long line of businessmen, Peter Beren started off working for his family’s business after graduating with a degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University, learning sales, inventory control, customer service, and management. He later started, grew and successfully sold a natural gas marketing company in the early days of deregulation, After the sale, Beren stayed on with the new company, Mountain Energy, further developing markets in the Midwest.
In 2001, Beren joined the company of what is now known as Mid America Coach and serves as its president. The key to his success is his family’s tradition, passed down from generation to generation, of providing the customer with a better product, service or pricing than they thought possible.
